Working with large regional funders
The Northwest Area Foundation (NWAF) is a private independent foundation with nearly $500 million in assets, making them one of the largest regional funders in the north-western United States. Innovative Leadership Australia has developed a close working relationship with the Northwest Area Foundation, and through its programs, the communities it serves across the Pacific Northwest and the Midwest.
From the Leader of the NWAF Horizons Program….. “David is modest in the description of his work with Horizons communities—he has taken them by storm! Perhaps it’s the Australian accent that makes small, rural communities sit up and take notice, but it is content and solutions that get him invited back—over and over again! David has been welcomed by timber towns and American Indian reservations, agricultural and mining villages. His own stories from isolated communities in Western Australia ring true for communities in our region, often separated by hundreds of miles and sometimes several mountain passes.
David has the rare ability to be inspirational and truthful. Struggling communities crave honest feedback and practical ideas, which David provides effortlessly. I have seen him command the attention of squirming six graders and fill a room of 500 with the force of his buoyant personality. He’s one of Australia’s most valuable exports!”
